On Tuesday evening, MuscleNerd, a member of the iPhone-Dev, showed up live demo of carrier unlock working on the official iPhone 3.0 firmware. The new method of carrier unlock for iPhone 3G is code named ultrasn0w by iPhone-Dev team.

The basic aim of this unlock is to enable the use of iPhone 3G with any carrier and not restricting it to be locked to a single carrier.
